🗣 Learn / Rehearse

Have more (or less) time to say my lines

Damien

Switch to manual

To adjust the time Imparato will let you say your lines, the first solution is to disable auto continue. Then, since you are the one who starts the sequence, you have full control over the waiting time! Take your time or go for a rhythmic rehearsal! This is usually the best practice when you have not yet mastered your play.

  • Click on Settings at the bottom of your play
  • Turn off the Auto-Continue option

You will need to manually click on the next line to continue.

Set up the automatic continue as closely as possible

If you want to adjust the wait time when auto continue is enabled, you will need to use the Imparato app as the web interface does not allow you to manage this setting.

Set up the automatic continue as closely as possible

If your knowledge of the play is good and you are comfortable with the automatic continue, you can adjust the amount of time Imparato gives you to say your line by adjusting the Delay to recite my line option

  • By default, the setting is Normal which corresponds to an average diction speed
  • Increase the delay to Slow or Very Slow if you are still unsure about your lines
  • Lower it to Short or Very short when you know them by heart and do rhythmic rehearsals
