I can't hear the beginning of the lines
"Shorten listening between your lines" option
If you don't hear the start of the lines, especially when they are long, check your line run settings. Indeed, when the Shorten listening between your lines option is activated, Imparato cuts long lines to only play back the last 10 seconds, which might lead you to believe there is a problem when there isn't.
The Safari browser
If you don't hear the start of the lines during your line runs, it might be because you are using the Safari browser. This is a very specific issue that we only encounter with the Safari browser.
While we work on a solution, there are two ways you can work around this problem.
- Preferably use the Firefox or Chrome browsers, which don't have any issues. By installing Chrome or Firefox, you won't lose your texts. Just go back to https://www.imparato.io after installation and log in again with your credentials.
- If you don't want to use any browser other than Safari, we suggest setting the speaking speed of the lines to 1x or higher (but not lower). In this configuration, the lines will not be cut off.
