Offline rehearsals


Rehearsing your plays without a cellular or internet network is only possible on the iOS or Android mobile app. See the On mobile tab on this page to learn more.

Imparato allows for line rehearsals with or without network.

Your plays are hosted on our servers so you can find them on different devices. A Wifi or cellular (3G/4G/5G) connection is therefore required to access them.

By default, when you access one of your plays with a Wi-Fi connection, Imparato downloads the associated voices and saves them on your device so that you can access them later offline. The space occupied by a 1 hour play is approximately 40MB on your device.

How do I know if my play is available offline?

On the list of your texts, a cloud icon ☁️ indicates that the play is downloaded and ready to repeat offline.

In the settings of your texts, at the very bottom, you can also know the offline status of your text.

How do I make my play available offline?

Your play is automatically downloaded (and updated) when you access it with a Wifi Internet connection.

If you are connected to a 3G/4G/5G network, allow it to be downloaded:

  • Touch the name of the play from the My Plays screen
  • Touch Settings.
  • At the bottom, make sure the option Enable rehearsals without network is enabled
  • Enable the option Allow downloading over cellular network.
  • To be able to use all the rehearsal settings without a network, make sure you have also chosen your role.

If a download is in progress, you can follow the progress of the download from the play settings, or the list of your plays.

If you don't want your play to be downloaded, uncheck the option Allow rehearsals without network; however, we advise you to leave it active, as it also makes the rehearsal fluid by making it insensitive to instabilities and micro-cuts of your connection

Please leave the application open while a download is in progress, otherwise it may stop and resume when you reopen the application.

My play is not downloading

  • Go to the Settings of the play
  • At the bottom, check that the option Enable rehearsals without network is activated
  • If you are not connected to a Wi-Fi network, also activate the option Allow download on cellular network.
