Permissions and Access in a Band
Within an Imparato Band, members can have different levels of access. This makes it easy to manage who can read, edit, or administer the Band’s content and members.
A Band includes 3 types of roles:
- Owner (unique)
- Administrator (there can be multiple administrators)
- Member (simple access to texts and role distribution)
Here is a summary table of the permissions associated with each role:

How to change a member's role
If you are the Owner or an Administrator of the Band, you can change a member’s role. To do so, click on the Band’s name on the Dashboard screen, then select a new role for the chosen member.
If you are not the Owner or an Administrator of the Band, please contact the Owner. If the Owner is unable to take action, contact Imparato support.

Notes
- The Owner is unique per Band. They have the highest level of permissions and can transfer ownership to another member if needed.
- There can be multiple Administrators. They have advanced management rights, except they cannot transfer ownership.
- Members have simple access to learn and work on texts, and can manage role distribution within the texts.
