Add a Bookmark to Your Script
The bookmark feature is not available on the Imparato website — it’s only accessible through the mobile app.
When you need to return quickly to a specific line, nothing beats using bookmarks.
A bookmark lets you jump instantly to the line you’ve marked. It’s perfect for starting a run-through at a precise point or revisiting a line that’s giving you trouble.
If you want to rehearse a passage over and over — easy!
Place a bookmark on the first line of the section, then, whenever you want, tap the bookmark and restart your run-through from there.
How to Add a Bookmark
A bookmark is always attached to the beginning of a line. Here’s how to add one:
- Go to the line you want to mark. You can use the line search tool for this.
- Long-press the line.
- In the context menu that appears, tap “Add Bookmark.”
And that’s it — the hardest part is done! 😉
How to Access a Bookmark
Once your bookmark is set, you’ll find it in the “Bookmark” menu, which appears at the bottom of your screen while you’re in your script.
- Tap the bottom “Bookmark” menu.
- Locate your bookmark — by default, it displays the first words of the line you marked. Bookmarks are numbered: Bookmark 1, Bookmark 2, and so on.
- To jump to that line, simply tap the bookmark — and you’ll land right on the corresponding line.
- To rename or delete a bookmark: swipe the bookmark to the right. You’ll see two buttons: the first (pencil icon) lets you rename the bookmark, the second (trash icon) deletes it.
- To start a run-through directly from that line: swipe the bookmark to the left. The run-through will begin automatically from the bookmarked line!
