Imparato 4.3: rehearse directly from your lock screen

Imparato version 4.3 is here with a highly anticipated new feature: you can now control your line run without unlocking your phone.

This update also makes offline rehearsals simpler and improves the overall smoothness of the app.

Control your line run from the lock screen

Until now, Imparato could keep playing your rehearsal while your phone was locked. But to go back to a line or skip to the next one, you had to reopen the app.

With Imparato 4.3, you can now navigate between lines directly from the lock screen controls.

This allows you to:

• skip to the next line;
• go back to the previous line;
• pause or resume your rehearsal;
• more easily follow the sequence of scenes.

Characters and their avatars also stay displayed and are updated correctly during the rehearsal.

So you can keep your phone in your pocket or next to you and control your line run just like you would with a podcast or a song.

Offline rehearsals are now automatic

Offline rehearsal was already a feature in Imparato, but it could be turned off.

Now, audio rehearsals are available offline by default, with no special settings required.

No more needing to remember to enable it before you leave. An unstable connection, a rehearsal room with poor coverage, or a commute without signal shouldn't stop you from practicing your text anymore.

Offline functionality is now a full part of the Imparato experience and can no longer be disabled.

A smoother, more reliable line run

This version also improves several details that could interrupt or hinder a rehearsal.

The sequence of scenes from the lock screen is more reliable, automatic scrolling of lines has been fixed, and the cue that starts a scene is correctly played again when using the "Reduce time" option.

Imparato also does a better job of reading Roman numerals in scene titles.

Finally, the app's audio engine has been completely modernized, while keeping background playback.
