Is Imparato slow on your iPhone? Try closing your open apps

Damien

This is a setting on your iOS phone; there's nothing to do if you're on the website from a computer.

Are you noticing slowdowns during your rehearsals on Imparato? An app left in an unstable state can sometimes temporarily disrupt its performance.

Before relaunching Imparato, you can try closing recently used apps on your iPhone. This action doesn't delete any apps or data.

Good to know: iPhones don't have a button to close all apps at once. You have to swipe them out of the App Switcher, individually or several at a time using multiple fingers.

On an iPhone without a Home button

This procedure applies to iPhones equipped with Face ID, specifically iPhone X and newer models.

  1. From the Home screen, place your finger at the very bottom of the screen.
  2. Swipe up toward the middle of the screen.
  3. Pause for a moment before lifting your finger.
  4. Recently used apps will appear as cards.
  5. Swipe each card up to close the app.
  6. You can use two or three fingers to swipe several cards simultaneously.
  7. Once the apps are closed, go back to the Home screen and open Imparato again.

On an iPhone with a Home button

This procedure applies specifically to iPhone SE, iPhone 8, and earlier models.

  1. Quickly double-click the Home button located below the screen.
  2. Recently used apps will appear.
  3. Swipe left or right to browse through them.
  4. Swipe each app up to close it.
  5. Then open Imparato again.

The steps therefore vary depending on whether your iPhone has a Home button or not.

Still experiencing slowdowns?

Try completely restarting your iPhone, then check that you're using the latest versions of Imparato and iOS.

You can also check your available space in:

Settings → General → iPhone Storage

Apple recommends keeping at least 1 GB of free space to avoid certain performance issues. An unstable internet connection or Low Power Mode can also slow down certain apps.

If Imparato is still slow after these steps, contact our team and include:

  • your iPhone model;
  • the installed iOS version;
  • the action you were performing when it slowed down;
  • if the problem happens on Wi-Fi, mobile data, or both.

This information will help us identify the source of the problem more quickly.
